- Go to studio.youtube.com and click Content in the left sidebar to open your video library.
- Click the title or thumbnail of the video you want to update to open its details page.
- In the Thumbnail section on the right side of the details page, click Upload file.
- Select your thumbnail image file from your device. The thumbnail preview will update immediately to show how it will appear in search results and on your channel page.
- Click the X icon in the top-right corner to Save and Close[a][b]. Your thumbnail will be saved and applied automatically.
