How to Add an Accountant to Gusto

Use this interactive demo to learn how to add an accountant to your Gusto account.

You can invite your accountant to your company account so they can help manage payroll, taxes, and financial records in Gusto. Follow the steps below to add them.

‍

  1. Sign in to your Gusto admin account.
  2. In the bottom-left corner, click your Company Name or the Store logo.
  3. Head to Permissions to manage who can access what.
  4. Hit Add a role to create custom access for your team.
  5. Select Global Admin for the access level.
  6. Click Continue to move forward with the setup.
  7. Enter the team member's name to assign them to this role.
  8. Choose the Accountant role from the list of available roles.
  9. Click Continue to finalize the role configuration.
  10. Hit Save role, and you're done—your team member is all set!
