Use this interactive demo to learn how to add background music to PowerPoint presentation.
  1. Open your Microsoft PowerPoint and select the presentation you want to edit.
  2. Click the "Insert" button located on the top toolbar.
  3. Click Audio and select your MP3 file.
  4. Click the audio icon on your slide.
  5. Click the "Play in Background" button.
  6. Click the "Audio Options" and select "Play Across Slides", "Loop until Stopped" (optional), and "Hide During Show".

📌 Why this matters

Background music transforms your presentation from a basic slideshow into an immersive experience that keeps audiences engaged throughout. When you add audio that plays seamlessly across all slides, you create emotional continuity that helps reinforce your message and prevents attention from wandering during transitions. Music also masks awkward silences when you pause to think or when technical issues arise. Beyond engagement, consistent audio creates a professional atmosphere that makes your content feel more polished and memorable, especially for training materials, product demos, or marketing presentations.
