Use this interactive demo to learn how to embed existing charts into your Amplitude notebook.

Quick summary

Adding charts to notebooks in Amplitude lets teams consolidate analytics insights into a single, shareable view. Use the Notebook Editor to insert existing or new charts in just a few clicks, keeping your data storytelling organized and up to date.

Steps

  1. Inside the Amplitude Notebook Editor, hover your mouse over the area where you want to add a chart, then click the Add Arrow icon.
  2. Select Existing Chart from the list of options — or click Create New Chart if you haven't built one yet.
  3. Browse the chart list, find the specific chart you want to insert, and tap the Add Item button next to it.
  4. The selected chart will be added instantly to your Amplitude notebook, ready to share or present.

📌 Why this matters

Amplitude's Notebook feature lets product and data teams bring together multiple charts and analytics views into one collaborative, narrative-driven document. Being able to quickly add existing charts to notebooks eliminates the need to recreate analyses, saving time and reducing errors. This capability is essential for teams that rely on data-driven storytelling to align stakeholders, track KPIs, and communicate product insights at scale. For organizations using Amplitude as their core analytics platform, notebook chart embedding directly accelerates the path from raw data to actionable decisions.
