Walk through this interactive demo to learn how to add security limitations to Google Slides.
  1. On your presentation, click Share to access additional security settings before sharing your presentation.
  2. Click the gear icon to access advanced sharing settings.
  3. Uncheck the box to restrict access to your presentation.
  4. Click the Back arrow icon to save your settings and return to the sharing window.

📌 Why this matters

Restricting access prevents unauthorized downloading and resharing of your presentations, protecting sensitive business data, client information, or proprietary content. Beyond basic privacy, these limitations maintain control over how your content spreads across organizations. When viewers can't download copies, you ensure they're always seeing the most current version with your latest updates, preventing outdated information from circulating. This becomes crucial for presentations containing financial data, strategic plans, or any material where version control and distribution tracking directly impact business outcomes.
