How to Add Sub Bullets in Google Slides

Follow this interactive demo to learn how to add sub bullets in Google Slides.
  1. On your slide, click inside a text box where you already have a bullet point.
  2. Press Enter on your keyboard to create a new bullet.
  3. Press the Tab key to indent the bullet and turn it into a sub-bullet and you're good to go!

📌 Why this matters

Sub-bullets transform your presentations from basic lists into clear hierarchical structures that guide your audience's thinking. When you break down main points into supporting details, you create visual relationships that help viewers process complex information without getting overwhelmed. This organizational approach becomes especially powerful during Q&A sessions, where you can drill down from high-level concepts to specific examples seamlessly. Your slides become reference documents that audiences can actually navigate and understand long after your presentation ends.
