Try this interactive demo to learn how to add time to Google Slides.
  1. Open your presentation in Google Slides.
  2. In the top right, click Slideshow.
  3. In presentation mode, click the three-dot menu in the bottom left.
  4. Hover over Auto-play.
  5. Select the time interval you want, such as Every 2 seconds or Every 5 seconds.

📌 Why this matters

Why This Matters

Auto-timed slides transform static presentations into dynamic experiences that run themselves. You can create engaging lobby displays, trade show demos, or educational content that cycles continuously without manual clicking. This becomes especially powerful when you're not physically present to advance slides or when you want audiences to absorb information at a controlled pace. The timing feature essentially turns your presentation into a self-running video while maintaining the crisp text and graphics that make slides more readable than traditional video formats.
