Quick summary

This demo shows how to align boxes in Google Slides using the built-in Arrange menu. Select multiple shapes with Shift-click, then apply alignment options like Left, Center, or Middle in just a few clicks.

Steps

  1. Click the first box you want to align on your slide.
  2. Hold Shift on your keyboard, then click the other boxes you want to align.
  3. In the top menu, click Arrange.
  4. Hover over Align in the dropdown menu.
  5. Choose how you want to align the boxes, such as Left, Center, Right, Top, Middle, or Bottom.
  6. Your selected boxes are now aligned based on the option you selected.

📌 Why this matters

Precise object alignment is essential for creating polished, professional presentations in Google Slides. The built-in Arrange and Align tools let users instantly snap multiple shapes, text boxes, or images to a consistent Left, Center, Right, Top, Middle, or Bottom position — eliminating tedious manual adjustments. This feature saves significant time when designing slide layouts with multiple elements that need to look visually balanced. Mastering alignment in Google Slides is a foundational skill for anyone who regularly builds decks, reports, or visual content.
