Quick summary
Archiving contacts in Mailchimp lets you remove subscribers from your active audience without permanently deleting their data. This keeps your contact list clean, reduces billing counts, and preserves historical record for future reference.
Steps
- From your dashboard, navigate to Audience and select All Contacts.
- Check the box to the left of the contact you want to archive.
- With the contact selected, open the Actions menu and choose Archive.
- Hit Confirm in the pop-up to complete the process — the contact will be archived immediately.
