Quick summary
Backing up an Asana project is done by exporting it as a CSV file through the Project Actions Menu. This gives you a portable, offline copy of all your project data that can be saved to any location.
Steps
- Open the project you want to back up in Asana.
- Click on the Project Actions Menu — the dropdown arrow located in the top right corner of the project view.
- Hover over Export/Print and click on it to open the export options.
- Select CSV from the dropdown menu.
- A CSV file containing your project data will be downloaded — save it to your preferred location.
