Changing an active sprint in Jira lets you update the sprint name, start date, and end date without disrupting ongoing work. You can edit a running sprint in just a few clicks using the Edit Sprint option from the Backlog view.
Steps
- Navigate to your desired Jira project.
- Go to the Backlog view in your Jira project.
- Click the ellipsis icon at the top-right of the active sprint board.
- Select Edit Sprint from the dropdown menu.
- Update the sprint name of your ongoing sprint as needed.
- Change the start date and end date of the ongoing sprint.
- Click Update to save your changes.
