Use this interactive demo to learn how to update your email footer settings in GetResponse.

Quick summary

In GetResponse, you can change the email footer by navigating to your contact list settings and updating the postal address displayed in outgoing messages. This includes editing your company name, address fields, and toggling footer visibility on or off before saving.

Steps

  1. From the main dashboard, navigate to the Contacts section.
  2. Locate the contact list linked to your message and click the vertical ellipsis (three-dot menu).
  3. Click Settings from the dropdown menu.
  4. In the General tab, find Show postal address in message footer and click the blue triangle to expand the section.
  5. Update the company or organization name as needed.
  6. Edit the address fields including city, state, postal code, and country.
  7. Optionally, disable the footer slider to prevent the footer from appearing in your emails.
  8. Click Save general settings to apply your changes.
  9. Confirm the success notification that appears once your contact settings have been saved.

📌 Why this matters

Controlling your email footer in GetResponse is essential for maintaining compliance with anti-spam regulations such as CAN-SPAM and GDPR, which require a valid postal address in every commercial email. GetResponse makes it straightforward to update your company name, mailing address, and footer visibility directly from your contact list settings — no developer needed. Keeping your footer information accurate builds trust with subscribers and reduces the risk of emails being flagged as spam. This feature gives email marketers full control over how their brand appears at the bottom of every message they send.
