Try this guided demo to learn how to change footer in Google Slides.
  1. Start by opening your presentation, then head to the Slide menu at the top.
  2. Click Edit theme to access the footer settings.
  3. Now, select the master slide at the top to apply changes across all slides.
  4. Locate the footer text box and click to select it—usually at the bottom of the slide.
  5. Time to customize! Change the font, color, or size to match your brand or style.
  6. Once edited, click outside the text box to save your changes automatically.
  7. Drag or resize the footer box to position it exactly where you want it.
  8. Exit the theme editor by clicking the X, and your footer updates will apply to all slides.

📌 Why this matters

Customizing your footer transforms it from generic placeholder text into a professional branding element that reinforces your identity on every slide. You can add your company name, website, or contact information to maintain consistent visibility throughout your presentation. Beyond basic text changes, controlling the footer's visual design lets you match your brand colors and typography, creating a cohesive look that viewers associate with your organization. This small detail becomes particularly valuable in recorded presentations or when slides are shared independently, ensuring your brand travels with your content.
