In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to use the chroma key effect in Clipchamp to remove colored backgrounds from a clip.
- Click Import media and upload an image or video with a solid colored background.
- Drag the clip onto the timeline.
- Select the clip then open the Effects tab on the right panel.
- Look for the Green screen effect then click it to enable the chroma key effect.
- On the Screen color drop down menu, choose the color of the background you want to adjust or remove.
- Adjust the Screen threshold sliders to clean up the edges on the object.
- The selected background color is now removed using the chroma key.
Note: Solid colored background is not necessary but makes it easier and cleaner for edits.
