The Connect Boards feature in Monday.com lets you link items across multiple boards to create a unified, cross-functional workflow. Using the Connect Boards Column, teams can establish one-way or two-way connections between boards and reference linked items directly within any board view.
Steps
- Click the + icon at the far right of your board, next to the last column, to add the Connect Boards Column.
- From the dropdown menu that appears, select Connect boards.
- In the pop-up screen, click Select boards to choose which board(s) you want to link to.
- Use the checkbox to select the board(s) you want to create a connection with.
- Optionally, enable Create a two way connection to allow bidirectional linkage between boards.
- Click Connect boards to confirm and finalize the connection.
- A success notification will appear confirming the two boards have been connected.
- Click inside any cell within the Connect Boards Column to start linking items.
- The cell will reveal items from the connected boards for you to choose from and link.
- When multiple items are linked, the column displays a count; hover over it to see the names of linked items.
