Quick summary

The Drift Salesforce integration is installed directly through Salesforce AppExchange, allowing revenue teams to connect Drift's conversational platform with their Salesforce CRM in minutes. This step-by-step process covers finding the package, authenticating via a custom domain, and completing the installation in a sandbox or production org.

Steps

  1. Go to Salesforce AppExchange and search for Drift for Salesforce.
  2. Click the Try It Free button on the Drift for Salesforce listing page.
  3. Select Try in your sandbox to install in a sandbox environment.
  4. Verify your account information and click Continue to Installation.
  5. Click Log In & Install to authenticate with your Salesforce account.
  6. Click Use Custom Domain to enter your Salesforce org's custom domain.
  7. Enter your custom domain name and click Continue.
  8. Choose who you are installing the app for and click Install.
  9. Grant Third Party Access and click Continue to finalize the installation.
  10. Confirm the installation by navigating to Settings > Advanced Setup > Installed Packages to find your app.

📌 Why this matters

The Drift Salesforce integration enables revenue teams to sync real-time conversation data from Drift directly into Salesforce CRM, eliminating manual data entry and ensuring every chat interaction is captured as a lead or contact record. By connecting Drift's conversational marketing platform with Salesforce, sales reps gain full visibility into buyer intent signals alongside pipeline data, accelerating follow-up and improving conversion rates. For B2B teams already running Salesforce as their CRM of record, this integration is essential for closing the gap between website engagement and sales execution.
