Use this interactive demo to learn how to connect Salesforce to your Gmail account in minutes.

Quick summary

The Salesforce Gmail integration lets you link your Salesforce account directly inside Gmail using the Chrome extension, so you can log, track, and manage CRM data without leaving your inbox. Setup takes just a few minutes and requires installing the extension, authenticating via Google OAuth, and approving account access.

Steps

  1. Search for Salesforce in the Chrome Web Store and click Add to Chrome to install the extension.
  2. Open the extension inside your Gmail account and locate the Salesforce section, then click Log in to Salesforce.
  3. Click Continue to proceed through the login prompt.
  4. Click the Allow button to grant Salesforce the necessary access permissions.
  5. Back in your Gmail tab, click I agree to accept the terms.
  6. Click the Google button to initiate a Google login for your Salesforce account.
  7. Select your Google account from the account chooser.
  8. Confirm the Link Account request prompted by Salesforce.
  9. Your Salesforce and Google accounts are now successfully linked.
  10. You can now access Salesforce directly from within your Gmail inbox.

📌 Why this matters

The Salesforce Gmail integration eliminates the need to switch between your CRM and inbox by embedding Salesforce data directly inside Gmail. Sales teams can log emails, view contact records, and update opportunities without leaving their inbox, reducing manual data entry and improving pipeline visibility. This native Chrome extension setup takes minutes to configure and ensures every customer interaction is automatically captured in Salesforce, helping revenue teams stay aligned and close deals faster.
