Use this interactive demo to learn how to copy text box in Google Slides.
  1. Select the text box you want to copy by clicking on it once—you'll see a blue border appear around it.
  2. Right-click the selected text box and choose "Copy" from the menu.
  3. Right-click where you want the duplicate to appear, then select "Paste"—your copied text box will show up instantly.
  4. That's it! You've successfully copied your text box.

📌 Why this matters

Copying text boxes saves you from recreating identical formatting, fonts, and styling from scratch. You can quickly duplicate elements for consistent slide layouts, create templates for team presentations, or build repeated design patterns across multiple slides. Beyond the obvious time savings, this technique preserves exact positioning and alignment that would be nearly impossible to replicate manually. When you're maintaining brand consistency or creating presentation series, copied text boxes ensure your formatting stays pixel-perfect across all materials.
