📌 Why this matters

Line charts transform raw numbers into visual stories that reveal trends, seasonal patterns, and performance trajectories at a glance. You can instantly spot whether sales are climbing, website traffic is declining, or project milestones are on track. Beyond basic trend spotting, line charts excel at comparative analysis—overlaying multiple data series lets you identify correlations and divergences that would remain hidden in spreadsheets. This visual approach helps you communicate findings to stakeholders who need to make quick decisions based on data patterns rather than raw figures.
