Adding a poll to a Mailchimp email lets you collect subscriber feedback directly inside your campaign using poll merge tags. Once inserted into a text content block, the merge tags render as a clickable rating scale that recipients can interact with without leaving their inbox.
Steps
- Choose an existing email from your Mailchimp campaigns list to add the poll to.
- In the Content section of the email builder, click Edit Design to open the design editor.
- In your email layout, click the text content block you want to work with.
- Enter the poll merge tags into the content block using the required syntax.
- Replace the X in the merge tag with H for a horizontal layout or V for a vertical layout.
- Replace the placeholder sentence between the merge tags with your poll question.
- If you are using the new builder, click Save and exit to apply your changes.
- Preview the result — your poll will display a clickable rating scale for each question inside the email.
