Custom fields in Insightly CRM let you capture business-specific contact data beyond the default schema. Admins can add fields through System Settings under Objects and Fields without any coding required.
Steps
- Navigate to admin controls to begin customizing your CRM.
- Open System Settings to configure your Insightly environment.
- Select Objects and Fields to access your data structure settings.
- Choose the Contact object to enhance your customer data capabilities.
- Click Object Fields to manage what information you track about contacts.
- Click New Field to begin creating an additional contact data field.
- Select the field type that best matches your data requirements.
- Click Next to proceed and configure your custom field properties.
- Enter a descriptive field name for your new custom field.
- Add a tooltip that explains the field's purpose to users.
- Click Save Custom Field to finalize and save your new field.
- Confirm the custom field now appears when creating or editing Contact records.
