To disconnect from someone on LinkedIn, navigate to My Network, open their profile, and use the More menu to remove or unfollow the connection. This process lets you remove a connection or simply unfollow them without fully disconnecting.
Steps
- Click My Network on the top menu of your LinkedIn dashboard.
- Go to the Network overview and select the connection you want to disconnect from.
- On their profile, click the More button beside the Message button.
- If you follow them, select Unfollow to stop seeing their posts or activity (note: you remain connected).
- Or select Remove connection or Report/Block to fully remove them from your network.
