Descript lets you edit captions directly in the transcript by correcting text, adjusting timing, and removing unwanted lines. You can then customize caption style — including font, size, color, effects, and animation — before publishing your final video.
Steps
- Make any changes to the transcript text, such as correcting mistakes, improving grammar, or adjusting timing.
- To remove a caption, select the caption text in the transcript and press Delete or Backspace.
- Click Captions on the right side of the window to open the captions panel.
- Select the caption style you want to apply to your video.
- Click the caption on the video to enter customization mode.
- Choose your preferred font for the captions.
- Adjust font size, color, effects, and animation to finalize your caption appearance.
- When satisfied with all edits, click the Publish button in the top-right corner to export your video.
