Use this interactive demo to learn how to enable CORS (Cross-Origin Resource Sharing) in the n8n Webhook.

‍

‍

It is very easy to enable CORS in the n8n webhook. Here’s a short guide on how to do it in simple steps:

‍

  1. Inside your n8n workflow, find and open the webhook node you want to edit.
  2. After that, scroll down to the Options section and tap the 'Add Option' menu.
  3. Select 'Allowed Origins (CORS)' from the list of options.
  4. If necessary, replace the default value in the input field. Simply click it and type the actual entry you want to use.
  5. After completing these steps, CORS will be enabled on the selected n8n webhook node.

📌 Why this matters

Enabling CORS on your webhook allows web applications running on different domains to successfully make requests to your n8n endpoint. Without proper CORS configuration, browsers block these cross-origin requests for security reasons, breaking your integrations.

Beyond basic functionality, this opens up sophisticated automation possibilities where multiple web applications can trigger the same workflow, or where your webhook becomes part of a larger microservices architecture. You can also safely embed webhook-triggered functionality directly into client-side applications without server-side proxy workarounds.
