Use this step-by-step demo to learn how to export your LinkedIn data.
  1. To export your LinkedIn data, click your profile icon in the top menu of your dashboard.
  2. Choose and select 'Settings & Privacy'.
  3. Under the Data Privacy section, select ‘Download your data'.
  4. Choose the type of profile files you want to download.
  5. After selecting your data, click ‘Request archive’ to start the download process.
  6. You will receive a notification when your data request has been completed.

📌 Why this matters

Exporting your LinkedIn data gives you a complete backup of your professional network, work history, and all the connections you've built over years. Beyond basic record-keeping, this data becomes invaluable when you're switching careers or industries - you can analyze patterns in your network, identify gaps in your professional relationships, and strategically plan your next moves. Your exported contact list also serves as a safety net if you ever lose access to your account or decide to migrate to other professional platforms.
