Exporting Salesforce data lets admins back up or migrate CRM records by using the built-in Data Export tool inside Salesforce Setup. You can trigger a one-time export immediately or schedule recurring exports to run automatically and receive an email when the file is ready.
Steps
- Go to Setup from the Salesforce navigation menu.
- Search for Data Export using the Quick Find search box.
- Select the data objects you want to include in the export.
- Click the export button to start a one-time data export immediately.
- Alternatively, use Schedule Export to set up a recurring export for ongoing needs.
- Wait for an email notification confirming the export is complete, typically within 48 hours.
