How to Find and Replace in Google Slides

Try this interactive demo to learn how to find and replace in Google Slides.
  1. Open your Google Slides presentation and navigate to your preferred slide.
  2. Go to the Edit menu.
  3. From the context menu, select Find and replace.
  4. In Find, type the word or phrase you want to search.
  5. In Replace with, type the new text.
  6. Choose Replace all so it changes everything in the presentation.

📌 Why this matters

You can instantly update terminology, branding, or corrections across entire presentations without clicking through dozens of slides manually. This becomes invaluable when reusing presentation templates for different clients, updating product names after rebranding, or fixing recurring typos that spell-check missed. Beyond simple text swaps, you're essentially treating your presentation like a database where consistent information lives in multiple places. This means you can repurpose presentations faster and maintain accuracy across large slide decks that would be tedious to review slide-by-slide.
