How to Hide your Connections on LinkedIn

Walk through this interactive demo to learn how to hide your connections on LinkedIn.
  1. To hide your connections on LinkedIn, click your profile icon in the top menu of your dashboard.
  2. Choose and select 'Settings & Privacy'.
  3. Under the Visibility section, click ‘Who can see your connections’ to manage your connection privacy settings.
  4. Turn off your connection visibility to keep your connections private from other users.

📌 Why this matters

Hiding your connections prevents competitors from poaching your network and stops colleagues from seeing who you're connected to before major career moves. Your connection list reveals your industry relationships, potential job prospects, and business strategies. When connections are public, recruiters from rival companies can systematically target your entire professional circle, and your current employer might notice you're suddenly connected to their competitors. This privacy setting gives you control over one of your most valuable professional assets while you navigate career transitions or business development quietly.
