Quick summary
Indenting in Notion lets you nest blocks under a parent block to create structured, hierarchical content. Use the Tab key to indent and Shift + Tab to outdent any block back to its default level.
Steps
- Place your cursor at the beginning of the block or text you want to indent, or select it.
- Press Tab to indent the block one level.
- To return to the default indent level, place your cursor at the beginning of the text.
- Press Shift + Tab to outdent the block back to its previous level.
