Use this interactive demo to learn how to connect ActiveCampaign and Asana using a Zap.

Quick summary

This guide shows how to integrate ActiveCampaign with Asana using Zapier by setting up a Zap that automatically triggers an Asana action whenever a specified ActiveCampaign event occurs. Once connected, the two platforms sync without manual effort, keeping your marketing and project management workflows aligned.

Steps

  1. Go to the left-side panel and click Create.
  2. Choose Zaps from the list of options.
  3. Click Trigger to start the integration process.
  4. Find and select ActiveCampaign from the list of app options.
  5. Select your preferred Trigger Event.
  6. Tap Sign In to connect your ActiveCampaign account.
  7. Enter your ActiveCampaign API credentials into the input fields, then click Yes, continue to ActiveCampaign.
  8. Provide the information needed to set up the Trigger.
  9. Click Continue to run your inputs and test the Trigger.
  10. Tap Continue With Selected Record to confirm the trigger data.
  11. Search for Asana and select it as the Action app.
  12. Click the drop-down menu and specify the Action Event you want to use.
  13. Tap Sign In and log into your Asana account.
  14. Click Allow to grant the necessary permissions.
  15. Fill out the input fields with the required Action details.
  16. Click Continue to publish and activate the integration.
  17. Your ActiveCampaign account is now integrated with Asana and ready to automate tasks.

📌 Why this matters

Integrating ActiveCampaign with Asana via Zapier eliminates the manual handoff between your email marketing and project management tools. When a contact-based event fires in ActiveCampaign — such as a new subscriber, tag, or deal update — a corresponding task or project action is automatically created in Asana, keeping sales and marketing teams aligned in real time. This no-code automation reduces human error, saves hours of repetitive data entry, and ensures nothing falls through the cracks as leads move through your pipeline. For teams that rely on both platforms, this Zap is a practical way to unify campaign execution with operational follow-through.
