Use this interactive demo to learn how to connect Figma directly to your Jira project.

Quick summary

The Figma for Jira integration lets teams link design files directly to Jira issues by installing the Figma for Jira app from the Atlassian Marketplace and authenticating with a Figma account. Once connected via your Figma Team URL, designers and developers can view up-to-date designs without leaving Jira.

Steps

  1. Go to the top navigation bar and click Apps.
  2. Choose Explore More Apps from the list of available options.
  3. Search for Figma and select Figma For Jira from the results.
  4. Click Get App in the top-right corner to proceed.
  5. Click Get It Now to confirm the installation.
  6. Click Configure to begin setting up the integration.
  7. Tap Continue and log into your active Figma account.
  8. Tap Allow Access to agree to the terms and grant the necessary permissions.
  9. Enter your Figma Team URL into the input field and click Connect to activate the Figma and Jira integration.

📌 Why this matters

Integrating Figma with Jira closes the gap between design and development by making design files directly accessible inside Jira issues. Teams no longer need to switch between tools to review the latest mockups, reducing miscommunication and speeding up handoffs. The Figma for Jira app keeps design and engineering workflows aligned in a single project management environment. This integration is essential for agile teams that want to ship faster by keeping design context visible throughout the development lifecycle.
