Use this interactive demo to learn how to connect Jenkins build events to Microsoft Teams notifications.

Quick summary

This demo shows how to integrate Microsoft Teams with Jenkins using Make by building an automated scenario that sends Teams notifications whenever a Jenkins event is triggered. You can connect the two tools without writing code by mapping Jenkins trigger data directly to a Teams message action.

Steps

  1. In the scenario editor, click the add icon, search for Jenkins, and click on it.
  2. Choose a trigger event for Jenkins and click on it.
  3. Click Create a webhook to set up the Jenkins connection.
  4. After creating the webhook, click Save to confirm the trigger configuration.
  5. In the scenario editor, click the add icon again, search for Microsoft Teams, and click on it.
  6. Select an action event from Microsoft Teams and click on it.
  7. Map data from Jenkins to the Teams message using variables from the Jenkins trigger, then click OK.
  8. After configuring both modules, click the Run once button to test that the integration works correctly.

📌 Why this matters

Integrating Microsoft Teams with Jenkins through Make allows development and operations teams to receive instant, automated build and pipeline notifications directly in their Teams channels — eliminating the need to manually check Jenkins dashboards. This Jenkins-Teams integration reduces response time to build failures, keeps cross-functional teams aligned on CI/CD status, and removes the need for custom scripting or third-party plugins. Make's no-code scenario builder makes it accessible to both technical and non-technical users who need reliable DevOps alerting workflows.
