This tutorial shows how to integrate NotebookLM with ChatGPT by generating a shareable chat link in ChatGPT and adding it as a website source in a NotebookLM notebook. Once connected, your ChatGPT conversation becomes a queryable data source inside NotebookLM.
Steps
- On ChatGPT's main dashboard, open the left-side panel and select the chat you want to integrate.
- Click the Share button in the top-right corner of the chat.
- Tap Create Link to generate a shareable URL for the chat.
- Click Copy Link to copy the generated chat URL to your clipboard.
- Head back to NotebookLM and click Create New to start a new notebook.
- Go to the Link tab and click Website as the source type.
- Paste the chat URL into the provided input field.
- Click Insert to add the ChatGPT chat as a source.
- Your notebook is now integrated with ChatGPT — the selected chat is available as a data source in NotebookLM.
