Use this interactive demo to learn how to connect Jira with Salesforce in minutes.

Quick summary

The Jira Salesforce integration lets teams install and configure the Salesforce connector directly from the Jira Marketplace, linking Salesforce objects to Jira in just a few steps. Once authorized, the connection syncs Salesforce data into Jira so sales and engineering teams can collaborate without switching tools.

Steps

  1. Go to your Jira account and click on Apps > Explore more apps.
  2. Search for "Salesforce" in the search bar and select the connector for Salesforce.
  3. Click the Try it free button to get started.
  4. Click Start Free Trial again to confirm and begin the trial.
  5. Once added, click the Configure button on the success prompt to start the integration.
  6. Hit Add connection to establish the connection with Salesforce.
  7. Provide a name for your connection and click the Authorize button.
  8. Click Allow to grant access and complete the OAuth authorization.
  9. Once the connection is confirmed, select the Salesforce Objects you need and hit Import to finish the setup.

📌 Why this matters

Integrating Jira with Salesforce bridges the gap between sales and engineering teams by surfacing Salesforce data — such as accounts, contacts, and opportunities — directly inside Jira. This eliminates manual data entry and context-switching, helping teams resolve customer issues faster and keep projects aligned with sales priorities. The Salesforce connector for Jira is especially valuable for B2B software companies where support, product, and sales teams need a single source of truth across both platforms.
