Use this interactive demo to learn how to connect Trello boards to YouTube using a Zapier automation.

Quick summary

This demo walks you through integrating Trello with YouTube using Zapier to automate actions between the two platforms. By setting up a Zap, you can trigger YouTube actions automatically whenever activity occurs in your Trello boards, saving time and streamlining content workflows.

Steps

  1. Log in to Zapier, click "Create," and select "Zaps" to get started.
  2. Click "Trigger" to proceed to the trigger setup.
  3. Search for "Trello" and set it as the Trigger App.
  4. Choose a trigger event such as "New Activity" or "New Board."
  5. Sign in to your Trello account, grant Zapier access, and click "Continue."
  6. Complete and customize the required fields, then select "Continue."
  7. Select "Test trigger" to validate your Trello setup.
  8. Choose a Trello board, then click "Continue with selected record."
  9. Search and select "YouTube" as the action app.
  10. Choose an event under YouTube to define the automated action.
  11. Select a Google account to connect and continue to Zapier.
  12. After logging in to your YouTube account, click "Continue."
  13. Complete and customize the required fields for the YouTube action, then select "Continue."
  14. Click "Test step" to verify the YouTube action works correctly.
  15. Click "Publish" to complete the Trello–YouTube integration and activate your Zap.

📌 Why this matters

Integrating Trello with YouTube via Zapier allows teams to automate content workflows without writing a single line of code. When a new card, activity, or board is created in Trello, Zapier can instantly trigger a corresponding YouTube action — such as uploading a video or updating a playlist — eliminating manual handoffs. This kind of no-code automation is essential for content teams and creators who manage video production pipelines inside Trello and need those updates reflected on YouTube in real time. By connecting these two platforms, teams reduce busywork, minimize human error, and keep their content operations running efficiently at scale.
