Follow this interactive demo to learn how to make Google Slides view only.
  1. Click Share in the top right corner.
  2. In the sharing window, select Anyone with the link or keep it restricted if you only want specific people to view it.
  3. Change the permission to Viewer.
  4. Click Done to save the changes, and you're good to go!

📌 Why this matters

Making your presentation view-only prevents accidental edits during important meetings or when sharing with large groups. You maintain complete control over your content while still allowing others to access it. This becomes particularly valuable when collaborating with external clients or presenting to stakeholders who need reference access but shouldn't modify your work. View-only sharing also eliminates version control headaches since there's only one master document, and you can track who's viewing without worrying about unauthorized changes disrupting your carefully crafted slides.
