How to Make Text Bigger in Google Slides

Use this interactive demo to learn how to make text bigger in Google Slides.
  1. Click the text box containing the text you want to enlarge.
  2. Click the plus (+) icon or select a number from the dropdown to increase the font size of your text.
  3. The text in your text box will increase in size according to the font size you set.

📌 Why this matters

Making text larger ensures your audience can read your slides from the back of the room or on smaller screens during video calls. You can emphasize key points and create visual hierarchy that guides viewers through your content naturally. Larger text also forces you to be more concise with your messaging, eliminating unnecessary words that dilute your impact. When presenting remotely, proper text sizing becomes even more critical since viewers often watch on phones or tablets where standard fonts become nearly illegible.
