Steps
- Open the Design Editor in SendGrid and navigate to the Tags tab in the left-side panel.
- Find the merge tag you want to use — such as {{first_name}}, {{last_name}}, or {{email}} — and click the Copy button next to it.
- Go to the preview area and select the text module you want to edit.
- Paste the merge tag into the content at the desired location, such as next to an email greeting for first-name personalization.
- Click outside the selected module, then repeat the steps for each additional custom value you want to insert into your email.
- Click Save to apply and finalize all personalization changes.
