Try this guided demo to learn how to remove slide transitions in Google Slides.
  1. On your slide canvas, click Insert in the top menu.
  2. In the dropdown menu, select Transition.
  3. In the motion panel on the right, click the slide transition.
  4. In the dropdown menu, set the transition to None, and your slide transition is now removed.

📌 Why this matters

Removing slide transitions helps you maintain audience focus during presentations where content needs to flow seamlessly without visual interruptions. This becomes especially valuable when presenting data-heavy materials, technical demonstrations, or formal business proposals where animated transitions can feel distracting or unprofessional. Beyond aesthetics, eliminating transitions also prevents technical hiccups during live presentations—transitions can lag on slower computers or when screen sharing, creating awkward pauses that break your rhythm and credibility with your audience.
