Walk through this interactive demo to learn how to save Google Slides on flash drive.
  1. On your presentation, click File in the top-left corner of the screen. From the dropdown menu, choose Download, then select your preferred file format from the available options.
  2. Wait for the presentation to finish downloading. Then open the Downloads panel, find the downloaded file, and click the folder icon to open your Downloads folder.
  3. In the Downloads folder, right-click the file and select Copy.
  4. Insert your flash drive into your computer, then open and select the USB drive to access it.
  5. Press Ctrl + V on your keyboard, and a copy of your presentation will be pasted onto your flash drive.

📌 Why this matters

Saving your presentation to a flash drive creates a reliable backup that works independently of internet connectivity and account access. You can present from any computer without worrying about network issues, browser compatibility, or login problems. Flash drives also serve as a professional failsafe during important meetings or conferences where technical difficulties are costly. Beyond convenience, this creates a permanent archive of your work that remains accessible even if cloud services experience outages or if you lose access to your Google account unexpectedly.
