Use this step-by-step demo to learn how to save image from Google Slides to desktop.
  1. On your slide, right-click the image you want to download to your desktop, then click 'Save to Keep'.
  2. A Google Keep panel will appear and show your image ready to save.
  3. Right-click on the image and select 'Save image as'.
  4. In the 'Save As' window, choose the destination folder, rename your image, select the file format, and click 'Save' to save it to your desktop.

📌 Why this matters

Saving images from Google Slides gives you flexibility to repurpose visual content across different platforms and projects. You can use these images in reports, social media posts, or other presentations without recreating them from scratch. The process also preserves image quality better than taking screenshots, which can appear pixelated or distorted. Plus, having images saved locally means you can access them offline and maintain ownership of your visual assets even if the original presentation gets deleted or shared permissions change.
