Follow this interactive demo to learn how to send a PDF in a LinkedIn message.
  1. To send a PDF in a LinkedIn message, open your messages located at the bottom right of your dashboard.
  2. Choose your recipient.
  3. In the message box, click the 'paperclip' icon to attach a file.
  4. Choose and select a PDF file to upload and send.
  5. Once the PDF file is uploaded, click the ‘Send’ button to deliver your message.

📌 Why this matters

Sending PDFs directly through LinkedIn messages lets you share portfolios, proposals, and contracts without forcing connections to leave the platform or juggle multiple communication channels. Unlike email attachments that often get buried in crowded inboxes, LinkedIn messages maintain higher visibility and engagement rates. You're also keeping business conversations within a professional context where recipients are already in a networking mindset, making them more likely to review your materials thoroughly and respond meaningfully to your outreach.
