Sorting rows in Smartsheet lets you instantly reorder sheet data by any column in ascending or descending order. Use the built-in Sort Rows dialog to apply single or multiple sort conditions without writing any formulas.
Steps
- Hover over the column header you want to sort by, then click its Column Menu button.
- Select Sort Rows from the dropdown list of options.
- Click the Sort Item By menu to open the sort configuration dialog.
- Choose a column from the available choices to set as your sort criteria.
- Select either Ascending or Descending as your preferred sort order.
- Repeat the same steps to add more sort conditions if needed.
- Click OK to apply the sort and save your changes.
- Your rows will now be sorted based on the column and order you selected.
