Use this interactive demo to learn how to suggest in Google Slides.
  1. Open your Google Slide presentation and select View.
  2. From the View menu, choose Mode and click the arrow next to it.
  3. Select Commenting from the available options.
  4. Then, click the add button to add comments.
  5. Type your comment in the comment box then click Comment to save.

📌 Why this matters

Commenting mode transforms your presentation from a static document into a collaborative workspace where teammates can provide feedback without permanently altering your content. Unlike direct editing, suggestions create a clear audit trail of who recommended what changes and when. This becomes invaluable during review cycles with multiple stakeholders, as you can address feedback systematically while maintaining control over which suggestions get implemented. The comment threads also preserve the reasoning behind changes, making it easier to explain revisions to clients or revisit decisions later.
