How to Ungroup Images in Google Slides

Use this interactive demo to learn how to ungroup images in Google Slides.
  1. Navigate to the grouped image on your slide.
  2. Right-click the image, then choose Ungroup from the menu.
  3. The images are now ungrouped on your slide.

📌 Why this matters

Ungrouping images lets you resize, move, or format individual elements without affecting the others. You can delete unwanted parts, apply different effects to each piece, or rearrange components to create entirely new layouts. This becomes especially valuable when working with complex graphics or infographics where you need to adapt existing content for different audiences or contexts. Instead of recreating visuals from scratch, you can repurpose grouped elements by isolating and modifying just the parts you need for your specific presentation goals.
