Use this interactive demo to learn how to reopen a resolved comment in Google Slides.

Quick summary

This demo shows how to unresolve a comment in Google Slides by reopening it from the comments panel. In just three steps, you can restore any resolved comment back to the active comment list for continued collaboration.

Steps

  1. In the top menu, click Show all comments to open the comments panel.
  2. In the comments panel on the right, open More options for the resolved comment.
  3. Click Re-open in the dropdown menu.
  4. The comment will return to the active comment list.

📌 Why this matters

Being able to unresolve or reopen a resolved comment in Google Slides is essential for collaborative teams who need to revisit feedback, reopen discussions, or correct accidental resolutions. Google Slides does not surface this option prominently, making it easy to lose important review threads permanently. Knowing how to use the More options menu to Re-open a comment keeps your presentation review workflow accurate and ensures no critical feedback is buried. This feature is especially valuable for teams managing multi-stakeholder review cycles directly inside Google Slides.
