‍

In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to use Clipchamp.

‍

  1. Open Clipchamp app on your device.
  2. On the Home screen, you will see the Create a new video button. This option lets you start a video project from scratch.
  3. Below the Create button, you will see Templates. Templates are ready-made video designs you can use for quick projects.
  4. Below Templates, you will see your Recent projects for quick access.
  5. Click Create a new video to open the editing workspace.
  6. On the left side is the Media and tools panel. This area contains options for importing media, adding text, audio, and other elements.
  7. At the center of the screen is the Preview window. This is where you can watch and review your video.
  8. At the bottom is the Timeline. This is where video clips and elements are arranged in order.
  9. On the right side is the Properties panel, where you can adjust settings like Audio and Captions for the selected clip.
  10. On the upper right corner, you will find the Export button. This is used to save your finished video.
  11. You are now ready to use Clipchamp.

📌 Why this matters

Mastering Clipchamp's interface lets you create professional-looking videos without expensive software or steep learning curves. You can produce marketing content, social media posts, tutorials, and presentations that would typically require hiring a video editor.

Beyond basic editing, understanding the workspace layout positions you to leverage advanced features like multi-track editing and effects layering. This foundation transforms you from someone who relies on others for video content into someone who can rapidly prototype ideas, iterate on feedback, and maintain creative control over your visual storytelling across any project or platform.
