Adding weight to survey questions in SurveyMonkey lets you assign numeric values to each answer choice, enabling more meaningful data analysis. This feature helps researchers and teams quantify responses and calculate weighted scores directly within the survey builder.
Steps
- Go to the Design Survey tab, select an existing question, and click Edit.
- In the question editor, click on the Use weights option to enable weighting.
- Next to each answer choice, enter the desired numeric value in the weight box to assign a weight.
- Once all weights are assigned, click Save to apply the changes.
- Click Preview survey and submit a test response to verify the weighting is working correctly.
