Use this interactive demo to learn how to sync GitHub Issues into a live Coda dashboard.

Quick summary

This tutorial shows how to create a Coda dashboard for GitHub Issues by installing the GitHub Pack and authorizing the integration directly inside your Coda document. Once connected, you can sync pull requests and issues from GitHub into Coda to track and manage development tasks in one place.

Steps

  1. Open your Coda document and click the Insert button in the top toolbar.
  2. Navigate to the Packs section in the Insert panel.
  3. Select GitHub to integrate task management with your Coda doc.
  4. Click Sync pull requests to begin setting up the GitHub data sync.
  5. Click Sign in with GitHub to start the authorization flow.
  6. Click Authorize Coda to grant Coda access to your GitHub account.
  7. Enter your password and click Confirm to verify your identity.
  8. Click Complete setup to finish configuring the GitHub Pack.
  9. Click Choose what to sync to select which GitHub repositories, issues, or pull requests to display in your dashboard.

📌 Why this matters

Connecting GitHub to Coda lets engineering and product teams track issues, pull requests, and project activity without switching between tools. A Coda dashboard for GitHub Issues centralizes real-time development data alongside docs, wikis, and roadmaps in a single workspace. This integration reduces context-switching, improves sprint visibility, and keeps non-technical stakeholders aligned on engineering progress. Teams that sync GitHub data into Coda gain a flexible, no-code reporting layer that updates automatically as repositories change.
