Use this interactive demo to learn how to build a structured, multi-section dashboard in Notion.

Quick summary

A Notion dashboard centralizes your work and personal information on a single, organized page using headings, toggle lists, and multi-column layouts. This tutorial walks you through every step needed to create a dashboard in Notion from a blank page to a polished, icon-labeled workspace.

Steps

  1. Start with a new empty page in Notion.
  2. Name your dashboard by typing a title at the top of the page.
  3. Choose a section heading block to build your first dashboard section.
  4. Type "Professional" as your first heading to group work-related items.
  5. Add toggle lists to create collapsible, neatly organized content blocks.
  6. Add a few list headings inside the toggle section to label your content.
  7. Click any toggle list to expand it and add sub-items.
  8. Link a table that holds your data under the Expenses toggle.
  9. Continue adding items to each toggle list where appropriate.
  10. Use the /divider slash command to insert a divider block between headings and content.
  11. Repeat the same steps to create additional sections on your dashboard.
  12. Drag to select multiple blocks at once for bulk editing.
  13. Use the six-dot handle to drag blocks next to Professional and create a two-column layout.
  14. Add an icon to the page so your dashboard is easy to identify in the sidebar.
  15. Add a cover photo to make the dashboard visually appealing.
  16. Your simple yet powerful Notion dashboard is now complete and ready to use.

📌 Why this matters

Building a custom dashboard in Notion lets individuals and teams consolidate tasks, expenses, and resources into a single, always-accessible workspace — eliminating the need to juggle multiple tools. Notion's flexible block system, including toggle lists, multi-column layouts, and linked tables, makes it possible to create a structured hub that scales with your workflow. A well-designed Notion dashboard improves productivity by giving every piece of information a clear, organized home that is easy to navigate and update in real time.
